Memory¶
Memory is the centre of Teams: agents never lose what was said, done, decided, left pending or planned next.
- The record. Every event of every conversation is sealed on the chain and indexed for full text search.
- Checkpoints. At the end of a turn, at compaction and at a meeting's conclusion, the agent distils what moved: decisions with reasons, open tasks, what was done, next steps, commitments, risks, unresolved points and facts, every item citing the events it comes from. A checkpoint stands in for the earlier turns when a conversation outgrows the window, and can be rebuilt from the record at any time.
- Entries. Facts, preferences, procedures, entities, lessons and decisions the agent remembers, each stamped with its reach (own, team, workspace), embedded and searchable. Forgetting erases the payload and keeps the receipt.
- Recall. Eleven heads (checkpoint, decision, vector, entries, team, entity, lesson, actions, recency, transcript, precedent) each score what they find; fusion ranks and says which head surfaced an item and why. Governance applies inside each head; fusion never widens reach.
- Standing memory. A block rebuilt nightly from everything the agent holds, read at the top of every prompt.
- Consolidation. Nightly: near duplicates merged, contradictions judged, expiries applied, lessons drawn from done cards, blocks redistilled.
- Hand off briefs. When an agent hands a card to another, the receiver gets a brief distilled from the sender's checkpoint, narrowed to the card.
Remember and recall are actions through the Authorisation Layer like any other tool call. A benchmark with a floor of 0.85 recall at five guards the heads.
