Ask Scroll¶
The ask bar at the top of the Workflows screen is your firm's assistant. It plays two roles at once:
- A regulatory expert on UAE and Saudi law, fees, and government processes, which can search official sources for current figures.
- An assistant who knows your firm, answering questions about your own clients, matters, renewals, deadlines, signatures, and requests.
You ask in plain language and the answer streams back, formatted, in the bar. There is no separate screen to learn, the one box answers both kinds of question.
What you can ask¶
About regulations (answered from expertise, with live web search where useful):
- "What is the current Golden Visa investment threshold?"
- "What are the steps to renew a DMCC free zone licence?"
- "What is the Saudi VAT rate and who must register?"
About your own firm (answered from your live data):
- "Which clients have renewals due in the next 60 days?"
- "What is the status of Al Mansoori's matters?"
- "Who still has a signature pending?"
- "List my UAE clients."
- "What deadlines are coming up this month?"
What it knows about your firm¶
When you ask, Scroll gives the assistant a current, jurisdiction-scoped snapshot of your workspace:
- Clients, their name, jurisdiction, reference, and category.
- Renewals from Renewal Autopilot, with due dates and state.
- Upcoming deadlines from the Compliance Tracker.
- Recent matters and their status.
- Signatures, how many are signed and which are still awaiting signature.
- Open client requests from the portal.
The snapshot follows the UAE / KSA / Both selector in the topbar, so "which clients have renewals due" returns only the clients for the jurisdiction you are viewing.
Privacy¶
The assistant is built from non-sensitive fields only, names, references, dates, statuses, and counts. It does not read the encrypted PII profile fields your clients submit (passport numbers, Emirates IDs, and the like). It answers about your own book of work, for your own team, in your own workspace.
Good to know¶
- It is jurisdiction-aware: switch the topbar to UAE, Saudi, or Both to scope what it sees.
- For questions about your own clients and matters it uses your firm data and cites specific names, dates, and counts; for general regulatory questions it uses its expertise and may search official sources.
- If your data does not contain the answer, it says so plainly rather than guessing.
- Answers render in clean Markdown and type in live, the same as workflow step outputs.
