Document Intelligence

Document Intelligence turns the pile of documents a firm receives every day into structured, actionable records. Drop in a trade licence, passport, Ejari, CR, GOSI letter, or visa, and Scroll reads it, classifies the type, extracts the key fields (including expiry), matches it to a client, and offers to create the deadline and the renewal, in one place: the Documents inbox.


How it works

A document arrives — uploaded by your team, or sent by a client via the portal or a message
   → Scroll extracts the text (PDF, Word, text) or reads the image with AI vision
   → classifies the document type
   → extracts holder name, document number, issue date, expiry date, authority
   → matches it to one of your clients (with a confidence indicator)
   → you confirm, then create the deadline and renewal in one click

Documents your clients submit through the portal or in a message are ingested automatically and analyzed, so they are already classified and matched by the time you open the inbox.


The Documents inbox

A dedicated Documents tab (under Records) lists every document with:

  • the classified type and status,
  • the extracted fields (holder, number, expiry, authority),
  • the matched client, which you can confirm or change, and
  • one-click actions: Create deadline (into the Compliance Tracker) and Create renewal (into Renewal Autopilot), pre-filled from the extracted expiry and document type.

It is jurisdiction-scoped by the topbar UAE / KSA / Both selector (via the matched client), and the sidebar shows a count of documents waiting for your attention.


Images and scans

Text documents (PDF, Word, plain text) are read directly. Photographed or scanned documents are read with AI vision. If vision is temporarily unavailable, the document is flagged for manual review rather than guessed at.


Privacy

Reading a document means the model must see it to extract the fields, the same as any analysis step that reads an uploaded file. The extracted detail is stored encrypted, and the inbox surfaces only what you need to act, the type, dates, and the matched client. Nothing is created silently: deadlines and renewals appear only when you click.


Why it matters

  • Minutes, not hours: no more manually sorting, reading, and re-keying client paperwork.
  • Nothing slips: every expiry becomes a tracked deadline and, if you choose, a perpetual renewal.
  • It compounds: it feeds the Tracker and Autopilot you already use, so the platform gets smarter with every document.
